Ground surface indicators in a choice of colours for the vision impairedGuardian Tactile ground surface indicators (TGSIs) are available in a range of standard and most widely used colours.
Customers may also have their own colour range made up (minimum quantities apply) to ensure that the tiles enhance almost any design, style and colour scheme. Guardian Tactile ground surface indicators are used to warn people who are blind or vision impaired that they are approaching a hazardous situation. It may be a set of stairs, a jetty, a street crossing, a train platform edge, or an overhead obstruction where they can injure themselves. The TGSIs are designed so that they may be read either tactually underfoot; through the tip of a long cane, or visually because of a high luminance contrast - which means that the colour of the TGSIs stands out compared to the surrounding floor/ground surface. ![]() Guardian Tactile Systems are installed to assist sight impaired people in every-day situations.
